Benavente is the major point of convergence for highways and national roads in the north-west of Spanish Peninsula. The madrid-Coruña highway (double-lane road) there are new section, reaching the city of León. In the West, another double-lane road reach Vigo, and in the South, a fourth road will comunicate Benavente with Zamora and Salamanca. The highway road network . will be completed with its sections in the East, wich will communicate Palencia with the Castilla Highway.
At the present, the following roads all converge in Benavente : A-6, highway Madrid to Coruña; N-630, "Ruta de la Plata" Zamora - Salamanca - Cáceres - Mérida - Seville; A-66, León-Oviedo highway; A-52 highway, Orense-Vigo_Southern Galicia; N-610 to Palencia; and the road link with Northern Portugal via Puebla de Sanabria-Calabor.
